Path of the Wild Heart Programs

The Path of the Wild Heart
Ecospiritual Recovery Support

• The Path of the Wild Heart is a gateway to transformation and healing that is based on creating a deep, spiritual connection with the natural world, integrated with traditional means of recovery support.

 • At Path of the Wild Heart, we are here to support the restoration of your true potential and wholeness. Recovery need not be life in purgatory. You need not settle for a life half-lived.

This is an invitation to make an important forward step, transforming a moment that may be full of fear, despair, and uncertainty into an opportunity to live fully and realize your true potential.

The Path of the Wild Heart is rooted in building a rich network of authentic, mutual connections and fulfilling relationships at every level of our being. This is literally the nourishment that many of us sought when we grasped for destructive illusion offered by substance use, which inevitably led to pain and tragedy.

At Path of the Wild Heart, we believe that while healing and transformation may have difficult and painful moments, recovery should ultimately bring us to a full range of meaningful positive experiences, leading us to a true sense of fulfillment and happiness.

The core of all our offerings is Ecospirituality, a close spiritual relationship with the natural world. This is primarily developed through participating in Ecospiritual Immersions. These are carefully structured guided encounters with the natural world. They are designed to foster the development of a close, and ultimately spiritual relationship with the natural beings that surround us. Over time, these relationships can form the basis for redeveloping our sense of trust, our sense of belonging, our sense of wonder, and our sense of our unique value and place in the world.

The benefits of our Path of the Wild Heart recovery program include –

  • Experiencing the rich potential of a deep relationship with the natural world. Studies have shown that this interaction can produce a number of psychological benefits such as reducing anxiety and improving mood.
  • Working with the Matrix of Connectedness, a model that guides the development and restoration of healthy, supportive connections at each of six levels of the recoveree’s life. Having a rich network of these connections forms the basis of genuine, long-lasting satisfaction and fulfillment in the person’s life.
  • Developing a spiritual relationship with and through the natural world. Recovery is a comprehensive process that aims at profound change at the levels of body, mind and spirit. Often, people coming into recovery struggle with the spiritual dimension. Ecospirituality is unique, in that it is totally experiential. There is no dogma, no required beliefs, and yet at the same time, the depth of the ecospiritual relationship is unlimited. For many people it is the pathway to making a direct connection with a Higher Power, while for others, nature, Mother Earth or Gaia is that power.
  • Making connections with a community that has a reverence for the natural world and a desire to protect and preserve our wild “relations”. This is a powerful tonic for the eco-anxiety that many people are facing today.
  • Utilizing “traditional” recovery skills and pathways. While Path of the Wild Heart is based on ecospiritual connection, we also respect and utilize the knowledge and skills of other, more traditional paths to recovery.

Our offerings include the following:

For persons in the early stages of recovery, The Path of the Wild Heart Ecospiritual Addiction Recovery Support Program, a structured, year-long program that includes both online and in person experiences designed to bring about profound transformation that will be the basis of stable long-term recovery.

For those who have already achieved a degree of stability in their recovery, Individual Ecospiritual Recovery Support combines individual face to face meetings, periodic Ecospiritual Immersions and a personal regimen of daily practices. This program is customized to the needs of the individual.

Both of these programs assist the individual in building their Matrix of Connectedness, a rich network of connections at each level of the person’s life. These levels include physical, psychological/emotional, relational, communal, ecospiritual and spiritual. The more rich and diverse the person’s network, the more fulfilling their lives become and the greater their potential for real happiness.

Do you have a deep longing to experience true liberation and genuine healing connections? If so, we would love to talk with you and answer any questions you may have about our recovery programs.
